We Raised $6,800 for Breast Cancer Awareness!

Oct 30, 2015 | Notifications

Since 2008, we have raised a grand total of $54,501! This is possible only with the support of many people and teams over many seasons. I am honored to support this cause, now heading into its 9th year.

Maggie Combs

Tournament Director

Breast Cancer Awareness Month wouldn’t be complete without a look back at our fundraising efforts this season. During 2015, the City of Salem hosted three softball tournaments to raise money for the Linda L. Vladyka Breast Wellness Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to raising funds for education, research, and the promotion of breast wellness and breast cancer issues.
How did we do? This year, benefits from Play for a Cure Oregon© fundraising tournaments totaled $6,800—some of the top sources of donations for the foundation! Thank you to all of the teams and families who participated!

Please Help Us Reach Our 2016 Goal

With your help, we hope to raise at least $10,000 in 2016. You can support this worthy cause by registering for and playing in one of our next fundraising tournaments. You can find 2016 tournament registration information online now. In addition, we hope each participating team can dig deep inside their pockets and donate at least $100. That’s less than $10 per player. Don’t forget, we will be giving away prizes for the team with the greatest donation during each tournament!
